Kevin Hart's first stand-up performance took place at The Laff House in his native Philadelphia under the name of Lil Kev, which did not go well. His career suffered a slow start, and he was booed offstage several times, once even having a piece of chicken thrown at him. Recorded at The Laff House on South Street in Philadelphia 2006.

Deon Cole started in comedy when a friend bet him $50 that he would not get up on stage one night in Chicago. Deon was on the writing staff for The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brian from 2009 to 2010, and he worked as a writer for Conan from 2010 to 2012. Recorded at The Laff House on South Street in Philadelphia 2006.
